Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum conditions for the reaction that could produce the maximum yield percentage and the interaction between variables in the enzymatic synthesis of alkyldiethanolamide using lipozyme TL IM. The method used is the Response Surface Methodology (RSM) contained in the expert design software v.7. The results obtained are the optimum conditions at the reaction time 1.13 hours, reaction temperature 32.05 ° C, the ratio of diethanolamine: oil (1 g: 9.57 mmol), and the ratio of enzymes: oil (1: 0.12) g with percent prediction results of 62.4542% and the percent of actual results of 62.0000%. The interaction between variables can be observed through a quadratic model.
