Manuscripts published in Jurnal Kartika Kimia are managed by the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Sciences and Informatics, Universitas Jenderal Achmad Yani. Jurnal Kartika Kimia uses the LOCKSS system to create a distributed filing system among participating libraries and allows those libraries to create permanent archives of journals for preservation and restoration purposes.

Jurnal Kartika Kimia also allows authors to self-archive versions of their work on their own web pages, on institutional web pages, and in other repositories. There is no embargo period as this journal is an open-access journal.

As well as Jurnal Kartika Kimia submits its content to the Republic of Indonesia's national library database, onesearch, Garuda (Garba Referral Digital), and several journal indexing institutions, so that data availability is guaranteed and accessible.
